We advocate for and support integrative healthcare.

Because we believe strongly in the importance of access to high-quality integrative healthcare (IH) services we devote time and efforts to lobbying for public policy that protects and promotes access to the IH disciplines. We monitor legislative activities on the local, state and national levels and our staff travel to Washington, D.C. regularly to meet with our representatives to discuss the value of integrative healthcare as part of our health care system. We also produce research and white papers that are designed to educate health plan executives, providers, legislators, and others about the value IH provides.

Our provider outreach efforts include support of integrative healthcare state associations and educational institutions. It is a privilege to support these organizations and institutions in their goals of providing life-long learning for providers, as well as training the next generation of providers.

Provider Involvement at Every Level

Integrative healthcare (IH) providers have a strong presence in the CHP community and we value their input; we have providers chair and participate on oversight, policy, procedure and ad hoc committees. These committees have developed standards for records management, claims submission and payment. This high level of provider involvement ensures that, rather than creating barriers, we make it easier for you to provide top quality care to your patients – our members. Additionally, over 40% of our Board of Directors is comprised of licensed providers ensuring that our long-term strategy includes a focus on provider satisfaction.
